A thorough, well-researched, heavily annotated, but pendantically boring catalogue of African Art in European Collections, 1400-1800. Small, barely adequate b/w photos of hundreds of largely unremarkable African items, which contribute to a book with all the passion and fascination of a automobile repair manual.
