Great art, but tiny formats

I thought that this was a pretty good art book.
The two previous reviewers were right about not utilizing the full pages, there's many drawings that are smaller in size, but it's about half the book pretty much. The pages you see in the example are the actual full pages. But the feel is a lot smaller than I thought. So that was actually a disappointment. But for the rest of the images, I was okay with them. Or actually, the first couple of pages had decent sized art, and they were really good. But then the last few pages had thumbnail sized images...
The presentation for the cover and the back were good. I didn't find the text on the pictures as bad as it sounded.
The book is actually horizontal, and the cover isn't like how you see it on the amazon picture. I liked the cover, just wish it was bigger. The main problem with this book is that the pictures are too small. I love the art, but it makes me wish that I could see everything the artist did.

Stunning art book

Absolutely gorgeous art - there's a reason this book is going for so much money now that it's out of print.
It's true that they could have improved the book if they had made it bigger so the art could have been displayed better, but I don't have as much of an issue with it as some reviewers do. A majority of the art doesn't have text overlapping it, and there are very few pages with empty space.
If you can find this book for a decent price, snap it up quick before someone else does!

The Art of Yasushi Suzuki

I had no idea who this artist was until I picked up his manga, Purgatory Kabuki. I saw this book advertised in the back of the book and because the manga was illustrated so beautifully I decided to buy it. It was the best $18 I have ever spent. It is a very beautifully illustrated book that includes interviews from the artist. I recommend this book to anyone who loves manga, anime and art in general.
