You want to have a strong grip??

Then this book is a necessity! Whether you are a beginner, intermediate or advanced crushing grip athlete, this book will be helpful for you to reach your goals. It is written by a man who is officially certified as an Ironmind captain of crush, and he knows what he is talking about. This is a no nonsense approach to the world of grip training. I liked it because as a guy who already has a relatively strong grip (can close a 2.5), i benefitted mainly from the section which talked about how to train for certification on the number 3 gripper. You will not get as much firsthand knowledge of grippers for this price anywhere else on the internet!

ultimate book on PTSD recovery

This book has been such a tremendous help. I couldn't find any specific answers and there they all were, in one open, compassionate and loving book. It is informative, encouraging and insightful. I will be re reading this for a good long time to come. There's so much that it isn't possible to get it all in one or two readings.

Invaluable - and - concrete help

She does not seem to have professional credentials, but this book (audio version) has helped me more than a zillion years and a zillion dollars of therapy. Highly recommend if you are stuck and have been told you have to learn to "manage" your PTSD. Highly recommend - period -.

Look No Further for Trauma Recovery

After buying about ten books on trauma, I finally found one that became my key guide. Michele has lived through her trauma and healing, and has been a pathfinder in her own recovery. She understands the syndromes and makes your feel OK about having the problem, and empowered to do something about it. Her extensive experience enables her to work through an index of approaches to remedy, and she shares stories about her own successes and set backs on her journey. This is the first genuinely practical book I have encountered that has a depth of information, great insight and empathy and a 'how to' approach. Michele is also a researcher, and calls in various experts to share their knowledge base in this emerging field of human endeavour. Pick up Michele's book and you'll be looking no further for trauma recovery!

An excellent atlas in hematology! I strongly suggest it!

Clinical Hematology Atlas 5th edition by Rodak is an excellent atlas for hematologists, hematopathologists and hematology lab technicians. It has amazing images of most hematological problems including anemias and malignancies. To my mind, it is the best Atlas of hematology in the market and has helped me enormously at the hematology lab. However, for experts in hematology, I strongly suggest to Dr. Rodak to include images of rarer diseases such as the morulae on anaplasmosis, babesia, etc.

Bryn Phillips completed his schooling in the Midlands of Natal (Now Kwa Zulu Natal) in South Africa. He obtained his Bachelor of Commerce degree at the University of Natal, majoring in Accounting, Economics, Management Accounting and Data Processing. He started working in the Hospitality and Gaming Industry as an Internal Auditor, but quickly moved into the world of IT Management. There were a few short breaks from Hospitality and pure IT while he worked in the Power Utilities industry, and also spent some time as an IT Auditor back in the Hospitality Industry. Bryn has presented at numerous conferences and seminars across the globe, on topics including Governance, Risk, Compliance, Disaster Recovery, Business Continuity, Service Management, Security, and many others. If you have never encountered the topic of IT governance and have no prior experience of related frameworks (e.g., COBIT, ITIL/ITSM, ISO38500) then this is the gentle introduction you might have been looking for (and is easily covered within a couple of hours). The converse is that if you have seen anything of these, then you may not get that much from the book. As an aside, the book could have benefited from review and editing (this is a self published effort) as there are some quirky details throughout (e.g., font size, idioms, repetition etc.) that an experienced editor might have polished out.

A Must For Derm Residents

OK. If you are a dermatology resident - you should get this book. It has most of the major genodermatoses that you wil be asked about. It needs updating, as do all textbooks, but only in that the causes of many of the diseases have been found ! (well done science!). Most dermatologists have a good visual memory - each disease has one page of summarised information about the condition e.g. inheritance, etiology, review of affected systems, differential diagnoses, managment etc On the other side of the page there is an illustration of the typical patient with the disease, with labeling of all the parts that have 'gone wrong'. In addition there are photographs of actual patients the disease. Some of these photos have reached cult status among residents - everyone loves the kid with the afro! This book summarises some of the highest yield mock board material around. You can be garaunteed at least 10-15% of the board questions can be answered from this book. It your program is not doing Spitz review - then good luck, you will need it.

A must for dermatology residents

I received this book compliments of Ortho Dermatological as a first-year derm resident. I read it before mock boards in the spring and I was amazed at how many questions I got just because of this book. I would not have mastered the presented syndromes by reading about them out of standard derm texts.
The key features of findings listed by system and the excellent illustrations are very conducive to learning the material. There could be more syndromes included (Watson's, Dysplastic nevus sydrome, etc.). Also, it definitely needs updating. The quick pace of new knowlege (especially in the area of identified gene defects) kept me busily making notes in the margins before the next mock boards.
Pediatric dermatologists are going to need a more comprehensive text but for residents, this is an essential tool for mastering these disorders and passing the boards.

Dr. Spitz's Genodermatoses is an invaluable part of a dermatologist's armamentarium. Its thoughtful juxtaposition of textual disease highlights with unforgettable illustrations makes learning (and remembering) this somewhat esoteric topic much more painless and, arguably, fun. This Guide serves not only as a quick reference, but also as an irreplaceable practical study tool for such resident hurdles as the dermatology mock and real boards. However, in view of the increasing scientific precision in the understanding of genetic disease, some of the contents need updating. Looking forward to the next edition with eager anticipation.

the supposed links to emedicine and uptodate dont work, nor does the link to flag and report problems. I'm on the second part of the 10 part questions and there have been a few mistakes. the answers are not descriptive which is fine but it would have been helpful if the links to the external sites worked so the answers could be researched in detail.

Okay book if you have $60, otherwise there are better review books.

Silly and cute.

Warning: here there be spoilers for BBL.

A fun little read for Hatoful Boyfriend fans, this doesn't really advance the characters or backstory at all, but is cute and goofy. And really, anything with Nishikikouji Tohri is worth reading. Plus, the token human segment is used for a pretty heartbreaking scene of that confused widdle Isa you can't help but pity (even if he does grow up to develop the world's most powerful bioweapon at the request of a child).

The story starts out hilarious with Ryuuji, Tohri, and Isa being all cute and funny, mainly Ryuuji. But when you reach the ending, it shows the slow descent into madness for poor Isa. I love this roller coaster of emotions and I recommend it for any Hatoful fans.
